Portal may be connected with different databases, online systems, services and consolidate the retrieved information on a single platform to make it easy to use.
For example, a Government website that allows citizens to view recent economic updates, apply for driving licenses, file complaints to different offices is also a portal as it requires different types of services consolidation on a single website to make it easy for users to search and use.
