How do I check my MSU application status?

You can track the status of your application by logging in to your account. You will need your applicant email (the email associated with your online application) and your password. If you do not know your password, use our password reset system. MSU will begin loading Common App and Coalition applications mid-August.

How long does it take to get an acceptance letter from MSU?

Admission decisions for undergraduate applicants are typically made eight to 12 weeks after all application materials are received. A complete application includes the application for admission as well as official transcripts and standardized test scores.

How do you create an MSU account?

Go to https://community.idm.msu.edu/selfservice/.

Select the Create Your Account Here link.
Enter your name and email. Type in the Captcha text and select the button to Create my account.
You will receive an email from a sender called Community ID. Click on the link in the email to set your password.

How do I find my MSU applicant ID?

Find your student ID number and your PAN. These numbers were provided to you when you were first admitted to MSU. If you are a student and do not know your PAN, you can find it in your applicant portal. If your PAN is not available to you in the applicant portal, you will receive an email once it is available.
