How do I resign as a celebrant?

Resign / retire as a marriage celebrant
Requests must be in writing (email us) or you can resign by using the self-service portal. We will tell you in writing when we have processed your request.

How do I transfer a NOIM to another celebrant?

Your NOIM is valid for up to 18 months after it was first lodged with your celebrant. In these circumstances, just ask your original celebrant to transfer your NOIM to your new celebrant. They can do this either by hand delivering it, sending it via registered mail, or they may be able to transfer it electronically.

Can celebrants legally marry?
