How can I find out my blood type? Any Donor Care Specialist can inform you of your blood type in person at any of our Neighborhood Donor Centers or Community Blood Drives if you have previously donated blood products to Hoxworth. All you need is a photo ID.

How often can you donate platelets Hoxworth?

Individuals making a platelet donation should expect a 90 to 120 minute appointment. They will be eligible to donate again in 14 days. In fact, platelet donors can donate up to 24 times a year! Hoxworth needs 40 platelet donors each day to meet the needs of our area hospitals.
