Can you look up federal cases online?

Federal case files are maintained electronically and are available through the internet-based Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) service. PACER allows anyone with an account to search and locate appellate, district, and bankruptcy court case and docket information.

How do you e file in PACER?

If you need to file in a NextGen court, you can apply for attorney admissions or register to file electronically via Manage My Account. If you need to file in a CurrentGen court, you need to apply directly with the court.

Is PACER only for federal cases?

Do you offer access to state or county courts? No. PACER access is for federal courts only.
